Crawl Space Encapsulation & Repair

Control ground moisture, humidity and damp conditions beneath your home with a sealed, clean and dry crawl space.

Crawl Space Encapsulation

Crawl Space Encapsulation done right

Georgia’s humid summers and wet clay soil make vented crawl spaces one of the biggest sources of moisture in a home. Damp air under the floor rises into your living space, bringing odors, allergens and higher energy bills with it, and it slowly rots joists, sill plates and insulation.

Crawl space encapsulation isolates that area from the ground and outside air. PPS Waterproofing combines a heavy-duty vapor barrier, sealed vents and gaps, drainage where needed and a properly sized dehumidifier to create a controlled environment that protects the structure of your home.

Benefits

Why it matters

Prevents mold and mildew

A sealed, dry crawl space removes the damp conditions mold needs.

Improves energy efficiency

Encapsulation keeps humid summer air and cold winter air out from under your floors.

Protects the structure

Dry framing lasts. Wet joists and beams rot, sag and attract pests.

Increases home value

A clean, encapsulated crawl space signals a well-maintained home to buyers and inspectors.

FAQ

Crawl Space Encapsulation questions

Is crawl space encapsulation worth it in Georgia?
In most cases, yes. Georgia’s humidity means open vents bring moist air in for much of the year. Encapsulation keeps the crawl space dry, protects the framing and often makes the house noticeably more comfortable.
Do I need a dehumidifier after encapsulation?
Most sealed crawl spaces in our area need some form of humidity control, usually a dedicated crawl space dehumidifier. We size it to your square footage so it runs efficiently.
How long does encapsulation take?
Most crawl spaces are finished in one to three days depending on size, access and whether drainage or structural work is needed.
