Basement Waterproofing

Protect your basement from water intrusion, foundation seepage and excess moisture with waterproofing built around the real source of the problem.

Basement Waterproofing

Basement Waterproofing done right

Water creeping into a basement rarely fixes itself. Left alone, it turns into mold, ruined finishes, musty air and eventually foundation damage. North Georgia’s dense red clay holds water against foundation walls after every heavy rain, which is why so many basements from Atlanta to Ellijay struggle to stay dry.

PPS Waterproofing inspects how water is actually getting in, whether that is through wall cracks, the cove joint where the wall meets the floor, hydrostatic pressure from below or poor drainage outside, and then recommends the right fix. That can mean interior drainage, a sump pump, a wall vapor system, crack repair or exterior drainage improvements.

Benefits

Why it matters

Prevents mold growth

Keeping water out removes the moisture mold needs, which protects indoor air quality.

Stops water damage

Protects walls, floors, finishes and everything you store below grade.

Preserves your foundation

Reduces the long-term water pressure that slowly undermines foundation walls.

Adds home value

Buyers pay more for a dry, usable basement than one with a history of leaks.

Our solutions

What we install

Interior drainage systems

A perimeter drain collects water at the footing and carries it to a sump before it reaches the floor.

Sump pump installation

Reliable primary pumps, with battery backup options, that move collected water safely out of the house.

Wall vapor barriers

Heavy-duty wall liners that direct seepage into the drain and brighten the space.

Foundation crack repair

Sealing active leaks through poured and block walls.

Exterior drainage

Underground downspouts and grading fixes that keep roof water away from the foundation.

FAQ

Basement Waterproofing questions

How much does basement waterproofing cost?
It depends on the size of the basement and how water is getting in. A crack repair is a small job, while a full perimeter drain and sump system is a larger project. We give you a written quote after a free inspection, and financing is available.
Is interior or exterior waterproofing better?
For most finished and unfinished basements in Georgia, an interior drain and sump system is the most effective and least disruptive fix. Exterior work makes sense when grading or downspouts are sending water toward the house. We often combine both.
Will waterproofing help with a musty smell?
Usually, yes. Musty odors come from moisture and microbial growth. Stopping water intrusion and controlling humidity with a dehumidifier removes the conditions that cause the smell.
